Guilford Public Schools will have a regular early dismissal on Friday, May 1st.
Guilford High School will dismiss at 12:10pm
Baldwin & Adams Middle Schools will dismiss at 12:51pm
Elementary Schools will dismiss at 1:47pm

Please note: There is no public parking at Calvin Leete Elementary School for the duration of today's events
Parking at Adams Middle School is available after 2pm
Sea of No Plastic Presentation at Baldwin Middle School

Under the direction of art teacher Joe Bernier, students at Baldwin gave a presentation to the entire school about the impact of plastic pollution on marine life. Students explained the issues in both English and Spanish to highlight the global importance of raising awareness and making changes.
Kindergarten Registration for Fall 2015
Kindergarten Registration will continue at each of Guilford's four elementary schools. If you missed the February 27th registration day, please contact the school your child will attend and schedule an appointment as soon as possible.
Smarter Balanced Assessments - Information for Parents and Guardians
The Smarter Balanced assessments will replace the Connecticut Mastery Test (CMT) and Connecticut Academic Performance Test (CAPT) in reading, writing and mathematics. The new assessments are a key part of implementing the Connecticut Core Standards and preparing all students for success in college and careers.
End the "R" Word Campaign at Guilford High School

Guilford students joined with Senator Ted Kennedy, State Representative Sean Scanlon, Principal Rick Misenti, State Comptroller Kevin Lembo (not pictured) and the entire school community to launch their annual awareness campaign to end the use of the "R" word - retarded. "Even If You Don't Mean It, It Still Hurts" is the message for this year's campaign.
"I came away from my time in Guilford with the belief that this is one of the most impressive educational enterprises with which I have been involved."
James H. Borland, Ph.D. was hired by the Guilford Board of Education to evaluate the services provided by the Guilford Public Schools for high-achieving students based on data gathered during five visits to the school district between July and December 2014.

Dr. Borland's report “Evaluation of and Recommendations Concerning Services for High-achieving Students in the Guilford, Connecticut Schools” was presented to the Guilford Board of Education in December 2014.
