Kindergarten Registration for Fall 2016 - February 26th
Kindergarten Registration for Fall 2016 will take place on Friday, February 26th from 9:30 to 11am and from 1:30 to 3pm at each of Guilford's four elementary schools.
Guilford Public Schools Facilities Improvements
Students of the Guilford High School Film Club in cooperation with the Communications and Facilities Departments of the Guilford Public Schools have produced and directed this 20 minute film. Superintendent Paul Freeman, Director of Operations Cliff Gurnham, Board of Education members Alan Meyers and Chris Moore, and our School Principals take you on a tour and explain many of the safety, security and other facilities improvements that have taken place in our schools in recent years and review the history of deciding to build the new Guilford High School.
BOE Committee Requests Community Input into Naming of GHS Varsity Baseball Field
The Guilford Board of Education has empaneled a representative committee, per Policy #1348, to consider the suggestion and request received on May 29, 2015, to name the varsity baseball field at Guilford High School in honor of Ralph Schipani, Jr., who recently passed away. Ralph was involved in Guilford Little League, Park and Rec, and school level baseball for years. The Naming Committee is requesting community input on this recommendation or other nominees.
GHS Food Drive Collects Nine Truckloads!

Guilford High School's Action Against Hunger students and advisor George Cooksey thank everyone who participated in this year’s Holiday Food Drive! Nine full truckloads of food were collected for the Guilford Food Bank! The 7,536 items collected were the most in GHS Food Drive history by over 1,700 items.

After watching Caine’s Arcade and reading Going Places by Paul Reynolds and What Do You Do With An Idea? By Kobi Yamada, Calvin Leete students were inspired to think outside of the box and use their imagination and creativity to see their ideas come to life in the school's second Cardboard Challenge
Guilford High School Takes First Place at Yale Physics Olympics

On Saturday, October 17th, the four members of Team Twin Paradox representing Guilford High School, came in first place in the 2015 Yale Physics Olympics. Team members Chris Barber, Corey Lynch, Sam Westguard, Sam Jelley and captain Sean Hackett competed in the all-day physics competition with students representing 48 other high schools across the state.
Guilford Lakes Named Elementary School of the Year!

The Connecticut Association of Schools has selected Guilford Lakes Elementary School as the 2015-2016 Elementary School of the Year.
