GHS Hall of Fame Induction - Sunday, June 7th
The Guilford High School Athletics Hall of Fame Committee is pleased to announce the selection of the following for its Fourteenth Hall of Fame Induction: John Garvey ‘87, Eric Walts ‘91, Erica Brasile Forti ‘92, Amy E. Riviere ’94, and Jaime Cassesse ’02. In addition Chic Phillips (Teacher, Coach) 1970-2005 will be honored posthumously. They will be honored at an induction banquet on Sunday, June 7th beginning at 1:00 PM at WoodWinds, 29 School Ground Road in Branford. Click on news item for more information.

Battle of the Bands - Wednesday, May 27th
Annual Battle of the Bands on the Guilford Green will take place from 1:30 to 3:30pm on Wednesday, May 27th. This is an early dismissal day for students. Students in grades 7 -12 may participate by registering with Ellen Clow at Guilford Parks & Recreation by May 22nd. Call 203-453-8068 or email
Destruction of Student Health Records by State Statute
In accordance with State statutes, health records of students born in 1990 through 1991 will be destroyed by Guilford Public Schools. Please contact Carol Ott, Health Services Coordinator (453-2741, ext. 241) by June 15, 2015, if you would like your records.
Destruction of Special Education Records by State Statute
The Department of Pupil Services, Guilford Public Schools, by State statute, will be destroying all Special Education and 504 records, including psychological, speech and language, etc. for any student whose class would have graduated in June 2007 thru 2009. Any former student may request these records by calling the department at 203-453-0128 by, July 1, 2015 to arrange to pick up their records. Records not requested by this date will be destroyed.
Congratulations to American Idol Nick Fradiani!

Guilford High School graduate Nick Fradiani was named the new American Idol on Wednesday, May 13th. From a pep rally at Guilford High School to a concert and parade attended by over 10,000, Guilford has shown its support for Nick. Guilford Public Schools congratulates him and wishes him every success!
Sea of No Plastic Presentation at Baldwin Middle School

Under the direction of art teacher Joe Bernier, students at Baldwin gave a presentation to the entire school about the impact of plastic pollution on marine life. Students explained the issues in both English and Spanish to highlight the global importance of raising awareness and making changes.
